Lincoln Tunnel (NJ 495) Eastbound Lincoln Tunnel (NJ 495) Westbound
This is the beginning of the center tube of the Lincoln Tunnel (NY 495) westbound in Midtown Manhattan, New York.  The intricate lane and ramp configuration of the Manhattan tunnel portal prevents a simultaneous view of all three tubes.  At the time of filming the center tube was 2-way, though it can also be all eastbound or all westbound.  Filmed August 25, 2000.



This is the beginning of the Lincoln Tunnel (NJ 495) eastbound in Weehawken Township, New Jersey.  The portals for all three tubes of the tunnel are visible here.  The younger north and south tubes are directionally fixed, but older center tube can be either eastbound, westbound, or two-way.  Note the depth of the New Jersey tunnel portal compared to the surrounding land.  Filmed August 25, 2000.

This is the end of the center tube of the Lincoln Tunnel (NY 495) eastbound in Midtown Manhattan, New York.  NY 495 continues ahead as the Lincoln Tunnel Expressway (NY 495), though the NY 495 designation is unsigned.  The spire of the Empire State Building is directly ahead.  Filmed August 25, 2000.
